+ Can employees clock in or out from remote sites?

Yes. This is one of the strengths of AcroTime: the ability for employees to clock in and out from anywhere they have Internet access and a browser. You can administer the system from a single central location or any remote location, as well. This makes AcroTime exceptionally well-suited for businesses with multiple locations, telecommuters and employees who travel.

If you have remote or mobile employees, we also offer a telephony option. This allows employees to clock in and out from any telephone (land-lines or cell phones).

+ How does AcroTime reduce or prevent buddy punching?

The basic web-punch requires employees to enter a user ID and password. Because of the personal information that will be visible to anyone who has that ID and password, employees are less likely to share their password with others.

For stronger protection against buddy punching, we offer biometric terminals for employees to use when clocking in and out. We highly recommend this option if buddy punching is an issue.

+ Can employees edit their own time?

If you choose to allow it, they can. Any punches that were input manually are indicated by a red “e” on the employee timesheet screen. Additionally, the employee can enter a note to explain missing punches or punch edits.

You can opt to disallow this feature.

+ Can supervisors edit employee time?

If you choose to allow it, they can. Any punches that were input manually are indicated by a red “e” on the employee timesheet screen. Additionally, the supervisor can enter a note associated with the employee's time sheet to explain missing punches or punch edits.

You can opt to disallow this feature. You can also limit permissions so each supervisor can only view and edit time for specific employees or for all employees assigned to a department or work group.

+ Does AcroTime show when punch edits were made?

Yes. Any punches that were input manually are indicated by a red “e” on the employee timesheet screen. Additionally, notes can be associated with each employee's time sheet to explain missing punches or punch edits.

+ What can we do if an employee forgets to clock in or out?

If you have configured the system to allow it, the employee or the employee's supervisor can enter a manual punch. Manually-entered punches are indicated by a red “e” on the employee timesheet screen. A note can be associated with the employee's time sheet to explain why the punch was missed.

+ Does AcroTime show how much accrued sick pay or vacation time is left for an employee?

AcroTime Platinum tracks employee benefit accruals and balances. Employees can even request time off and supervisors can review and approve their requests, all online, using the Employee Self-Service feature.

+ How much does AcroTime cost?

AcroTime costs only pennies per day per employee. Your monthly fee depends on whether you select AcroTime Standard or Platinum; the number of active employees; whether you decide on a term contract or month-to-month, and your chosen data-collection options.
